Ashapura Minechem Limited has reported its highest-ever quarterly bauxite exports, crossing 2 million tons in the first quarter of FY26. This is a record achievement for the company, which had exported 3.37 million tons in the entire previous financial year.
The strong performance was led by its Guinea operations, which contributed nearly 79% of the company’s total revenue in the quarter. Consolidated income from operations stood at ₹1,355 crore, marking a sharp growth of 89.8% compared to the same period last year.
EBITDA for the quarter reached ₹187.7 crore, a rise of over 106% year-on-year. Profit before tax was ₹131.8 crore, reflecting growth of 102.5%. The company also reported an EPS of ₹11.5, supported by improved margins and efficiency gains.
Ashapura’s operations are spread across India and international markets. In India, the company is the country’s largest bentonite producer and also a global leader in bleaching clay. It has steadily shifted focus from bulk exports to value-added mineral products, supported by a strong R&D base and a large network of processing plants.
In Guinea, the company holds large mining concessions with reserves of more than 700 million tons of bauxite and 300 million tons of iron ore. Over the past decade, Ashapura has invested heavily in building infrastructure such as roads and ports. Its port capacity currently stands at 16 million tons and is expected to rise to 27 million tons by FY27.
Management shared that the company aims to export 15 million tons of bauxite by FY28. Alongside bauxite, Ashapura is also advancing its iron ore business through local beneficiation partnerships, which are expected to contribute to profitability in the coming years.
Looking ahead, Ashapura plans to expand into high-value product lines in areas such as animal care, paints, coatings, and environmental solutions. With over 2,200 employees and strong R&D capabilities, the company is positioning itself as a global multi-mineral solutions provider.
