Now that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have all the privacy in the world, they can spend Valentine’s Day however they want — or how Markle wants. Markle, 38, once spelled out her dream V-day on her former website and blog The Tig, making it easy for the Duke of Sussex to know how to sweep her off her feet.
Markle said that she is a major fan of Valentine’s Day “hook, line, and sinker,” according to The Sun. The former actress discussed her dream day involving breakfast in bed. However, when it comes to a gift, she said all she needs is a “sweet love note or a single flower.”
“Without fail, every February 14th, I wake up feeling like I’m immersed in a Robert Doisneau photo, waiting with bated breath to be dipped into a kiss,” Markle wrote on her blog. “This is all happening in black and white, of course. And in terms of gifts, be it breakfast in bed, a sweet love note, or a single flower, it really is the thought that counts.”
Markle’s Valentine’s plans would also involve a stay in Paris if she had her way.
It was recently reported by Express that Prince Harry actually left Markle on her own last Valentine’s Day. The Prince traveled from the U.K. to Norway in order to meet with Royal Marines who were training. To pay their respects to the British prince leaving his royal bride behind, the Marines decorated a special igloo with candles and photos from their royal wedding.
This year, the royal couple appears to be spending their Valentine’s Day celebration out of the public eye, likely in the security of their $11M Vancouver Island mansion.
