Since last year, several sites have been reporting about a new iPad Pro arriving this year. While details about the premium tablet computer from Apple are scarce, several speculations served handy for some sites to create a render and give consumers the idea of what the next iteration could look like. A new report today reveals more details about the iPad Pro.
2020 iPad Pro 5G
Taiwan-based publication Digitimes recently claimed that the Cupertino company is preparing to release its first set of iPhone and iPad models with 5G connectivity support in the second half of this year. According to the report, the devices would feature A14 Bionic 5nm-based chips, which could be an A14X for the iPad Pro 5G.
Additionally, the report claimed that the devices would come with both mmWave and sub-6GHz support. Earlier, we have learned that Qualcomm would supply Apple with the Snapdragon X55 modem for its iPhone models. Digitimes, however, failed to mention the kind of modem that the iPad Pro 5G would feature.

Last month, the same publication reported that Advanced Semiconductor Engineering would supply Apple with the antenna it needs for the mmWave 5G of its 2020 iPad Pro 5G. ASE is the same company that supplied Apple with WiFi processors and RF for its Apple Watches, as well as its iPhone models. The report also revealed that ASE would provide the Cupertino company with the flip-chip antenna in package substrate tech for its iPad Pro 5G.
Possible Specs and Features
TFI Securities Analyst and reputable Apple tipster Ming-Chi Kuo earlier mentioned that Apple might release an iPad Pro that might house an A14x Bionic chip along with a mini-LED display with around 10,000 LEDs. Bloomberg also reported that iPad Pro models arriving this year would feature advanced 3D sensing technology.
According to the report, it is more secure than the Face ID and only needs a small hole in the device. The 2020 iPad Pro 5G might also sport a triple camera shooter at the back. At this point, it is worth mentioning that these specs and features are not yet official. We suggest to take it with a good measure of salt.
